- Spending 10 straight years in music school.
- Dating musicians with no money, no time, and no interest in a relationship.
- Living with zero job security after three degrees.
- Getting asked to improvise as a classical musician.
- Running on 4 hours of sleep, coffee, and snacks.
- Playing an audition perfectly in the practice room, then forgetting how to breathe in the hall.
- Having five rehearsals and a gig in the same week, plus teaching on the side.
- Getting a last-minute “can you cover this?” text for a 2-hour program.
- Buying expensive reeds/strings… and they die the day before the performance.
- Smiling through it all like it’s totally normal.
