"Puccini — traveled to Brussels for cancer treatment with the sketches for Turandot in his bag, begging Toscanini not to let his opera die." [beat] "He didn't finish it."
"Ryuichi Sakamoto — released his final album knowing it was his last. You can literally hear him breathing on some of the tracks." [beat] "It's devastating. It's beautiful."
