From blank page to Mudita premiere | Story Reel

Concept

Follow one score from blank page to its first performance with Mudita ensemble in Orlando. The emotional engine is anticipation: nobody has heard it yet, not even the musicians who are about to play it.

Filming

• Capture a blank manuscript page and pen hovering, notes appearing, one phrase being crossed out and rewritten, finished score pages, printing/binding or sending the score, and approved rehearsal or preparation footage.
• Use the score’s own audio only if there is an approved excerpt. Let the blank-page and finished-score moments breathe.

Editing

• 0:00–0:03: spoken hook, “This piece of music didn’t exist three months ago. In [X] days, an ensemble in Orlando plays it for the first time.” Text: “doesn’t exist yet →.”
• 0:03–0:08: fast process cuts. Spoken: “Every note in this score started as a decision nobody sees: cut, rewritten, cut again.” Text: “the part nobody sees.”
• 0:08–0:13: finished score sent to the ensemble. Spoken: “And then one day, it’s done. It goes to the ensemble.” Text: “sent to Mudita ensemble.”
• 0:13–0:18: quiet shot of the completed score. Spoken: “In a few days, people in Orlando hear this for the first time. Including me.” Text: “premiere: Orlando, [confirmed date].”
• 0:18–0:22: direct-to-camera close. Spoken: “That’s the actual job: writing something into existence before anyone can hear if it works.” Text: “wish me luck 🎼.”
• 0:22–0:25: CTA card: “Follow along. I’ll show you how it sounds after the premiere.”

Retention and follow-up

The “nobody has heard this yet” framing creates real anticipation and sets up a natural follow-up Reel using premiere-night sound, rehearsal reactions, or audience response.
