Story of my life | On-location performance Reel

Concept

A scenic, on-location performance clip — you playing/performing one of your own pieces somewhere that piece is tied to (a rehearsal space, a location that inspired it, a place from the writing process), with a caption reflecting on why that spot matters to that music.

Filming

• Wide establishing shot of the location first — let the place breathe before any music starts.
• Cut to you playing/performing — handheld or a slow push-in, natural light if outdoors.
• Capture ambient location sound under the first few seconds (water, wind, room tone) before the music takes over.
• One reaction/reflective beat at the end — you looking at the location, not at the camera.

Editing

• 0:00–0:03 — location establishing shot, no music yet, on-screen text: '[the piece] was written here' (placeholder).
• 0:03–0:15 — performance footage, your own recording as the audio bed.
• 0:15–0:20 — reflective closing shot + caption card.

Caption
