Why do people still come to America? It's the question I have after learning about LAM and watching this film. Did they not know the extent of racism until they've lived here for years? I don't think raciam was something I understood about America before coming here, all I believed was that it's the land of freedom and opportunities. Is that a lie, a deception that America is selling to rest of the world, or is that just the price you pay for entrance? What is that better life that so many people left everything behind to come here for? Or is America actually great and beautiful as a concept, but in reality human nature is still ugly and gruesome anywhere in the world, including land of the free?
